Co-designing Success
With key stakeholders, we are also mapping an innovative system for adapting, scaling, and implementing sustainable interventions for the prevention and treatment of ID and IDA. Through these efforts, we are co-designing a framework to ensure the success of equitable intervention implementation at all levels and with all stakeholders.

Interest-holder engagement meeting
To inform the roadmap we hosted a national interest-holder engagement workshop. The early lessons learned and key insights that emerged from the initial analysis of the workshop meeting are highlighted below. These findings ensure the framework aligns with the goals and desired outcomes of the interest-holders.

Convening for a Cause: an interest-hodler engagment meeting to co-design an approach to tackle iron deficicency in Benin. Lessons learned, challenges, and opportunities.
To tackle iron deficiency in Benin, West Africa, a national interest-holder engagement meeting was held in Cotonou, Benin. The goal of the meeting was to gather multiple interest-holders and partners for discussion on how to better understand the factors that influence the success of community-based interventions for the treatment of iron deficiency. The key insights that emerged from analysis of the workshop meeting are highlighted within this poster. This work was presented at a conference, Knowlegde Translation Canada Summer Institute in June 2024.

Contextual inquiry summary of implementation determinants for a trial on iron deficiency in Benin: Summary of results
Summary of a contextual inquiry conducted on the implementation determinants of a field trial in Benin that explored a community-based intervention to treat iron deficiency. The purpose of this research is to better understand women’s individual and contextual factors that influenced the trial's success through an intersectional lens.

Library of Community Experiences
A Library of Community Experiences is a resource containing knowledge and evidence from experts-by-experience. Information in this library will help improve current intervention designs and delivery to combat ID/IDA, and provide a resource for others involved in intervention design and evaluation, so that interventions can be developed and implemented with and for communities in Benin.

Establishing feedback loops with local partners
To innovate an effective and sustainable implementation roadmap, we have established feedback loops with experts-by-experience. To actively engage community members as co-designers, ensuring their voices, knowledge, and lived experiences shape every step of the process, we have established multiple mechanisms to receive feedback.
